4 Jewel Seiko 75 series movement – similar to 7548A and 7549A Seiko dive watches. This is an example of an early quartz dive watch based on the 75 series quartz movement (which in turn was based on the 63 series mechanical movement). It was first introduced in 1978, so this is an early example. The strap is original and branded Seiko. It measures about 7. It is slightly too tight for my 7in wrist. Diameter is about 38.5mm, without crown. The watch was tested on a quartz tester to make sure it keeps good time. The spec for this movement is. The final photo shows the measurement. Around 0.2 sec/day is 6 sec/month. As the watch is not thermally compensated this will not hold for all conditions. The point of the test is to show that not only is the watch running, it is also running well with great accuracy. This watch shares the same quartz circuit (and same movement possibly) as the Seiko 7548 and 7549 dive watches. The circuit board bears a 4 jewel designation. This is a used watch in very good cosmetic condition. Some signs of wear and tear. The crystal has been polished to improve clarity. It looks clear, but there are some remaining flaws that are visible from certain angles. The bezel while not perfect is very presentable. It rotates quite freely both ways (by design), no clicks. Underneath the crystal, the dial looks excellent. The crown screws down, though there is some wear. Works well and keeps good time. The day wheel is Japanese/English. The day, date and hands set as expected. These movements are adjustable and are capable of very high accuracy. The service history is not known. The final link in the bracelet, next to the clasp has a pin that tends to come out. It has been tightened up, but may still be a problem. Included in this listing is the watch itself with the bracelet. The package will weigh under 0.25kg so the following rates will apply. UK, France, Spain, Sweden, Netherlands, Norway etc.. Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea. If your country is not listed please ask. No tracking unless indicated (Canada only). Elsewhere in Canada, just the GST/HST as appropriate.
